Is in a Giving Family¶
This Condition, located on the Contributions category tab in Search Builder, allows you to find people who are in a family where someone has given. The Comparison Values are either True or False.
Enter the number of Days to look back (blank or 0 uses 365 days).
You can also enter a Fund ID to look only at gifts to that fund.
Every member of the family is returned (Primary Adults, Secondary Adults, and Children) when the family’s combined gifts in that period are greater than $0. False returns everyone in families with no gifts in that period, including single adults who do not give.
Note
You must have the Finance role to get results from this Condition. Without it, the search returns 0 people and does not show an error.
Use Case
To count your giving households, combine this Condition set to True with Is Head of Household = True. The results contain one person per giving household. To count households giving to a special fund, such as an annual offering, also enter that fund’s ID.
