Lists¶
OK, now let’s see how a list works:
This is the first item
This is the second item. That goes on for several lines. That goes on for several lines. That goes on for several lines. That goes on for several lines. That goes on for several lines. That goes on for several lines. That goes on for several lines.
And this is the penultimate item

And this really is the last item.
Important
A sublist has to be separated by blank lines from the rest of the list, otherwise it is rendered like a glossary. Also, the indentation for the sub list must be lined up with the first letter of the parent list item.
This is true even for .. seealso:: directives and .. note:: type directives including .. figure:: directives.
A numbered list is done like this (with # instead of a dash or a star)
This is the first step.
This is the second step.
And so on.
