Origin¶
This Condition located on the Miscellaneous category tab in Search Builder looks at the source from which a record originated. The options will be options such as Visit, Enrollment, or Contribution. These will vary from church to church, as the Origin options are in the Lookup Codes in your church database and can be created and changed by your System Admin.
Use Case
You want to find out how many records were added because the person made a Visit to your church. Select Equal Visit. You may want to combine this Condition with Entry Point to find everyone with an Origin of Visit and an Entry Point of Worship. That would give you everyone whose first experience with your church was as a visit to a worship service.
