To add the same Family Extra Value to multiple families at once, use `Toolbar > Gear > Extra Values > Add Extra Values` from Search Builder results, an Involvement, or a Tag. You **must** check the box `Add To Family Record Instead Of Person` for the extra value to be added to the family instead of the person. This will add the Family Extra Value to every family represented in your results, regardless of which individual members are listed. .. admonition:: Use Case - Tracking Families from Search Results A multi-class event uses sub-groups to track payment and packet pickup. Staff use Search Builder to find members in the "paid" sub-group, then add a Family Extra Value from the Toolbar to mark those families. A separate Family Extra Value tracks packet pickup. Searching on these Family Extra Values with `Is Head Of Household` reveals how many family units still need packets.
