Is Business
===========

This Condition, located on the Miscellaneous category tab in Search Builder,
allows you to limit your search to either **Business** records or **Person**
records.

TouchPoint can store a record as a Business (for example, a company that gives
contributions or sponsors an event) rather than an individual person.
This Condition lets you include or exclude those Business records.

How to Use It
-------------

Set the value to `True` to find only Business records, or `False` to find
only Person records.

.. note::
    Contribution searches include Business records by default. Search Builder
    automatically excludes only deceased and archived records, not Businesses,
    so a Business that has given will appear in a contribution search unless
    you add this Condition set to `False`.

    You are building a search of contributors and want to exclude company
    or organization records so that your results contain only individuals.
    Add this Condition with the value set to `False`.
