Geographic Region
=================

If your church uses geocoding to assign a **Geo-Region** to the addresses in
your database, this Condition, located on the `Address` category tab in Search
Builder, allows you to find people whose address falls within one or more of
those regions.

How to Use It
-------------

Select the region (or regions) you want from the `Codes` list, then choose a
`Comparison` to include or exclude the people in those regions.

.. note::
    The regions available in the `Codes` list come from the KML map your church
    uploads on the `Admin > Advanced > Geocoding` page. A person's Geo-Region is
    assigned and refreshed nightly based on the geocode of their address, so
    people without a geocoded address will not match this Condition.

.. admonition:: Use Case - Neighborhood Outreach

    To invite everyone who lives in a particular part of town to a neighborhood
    gathering, select that neighborhood's region from the `Codes` list with the
    `Comparison` set to `Equal`. The search returns just the people who live
    there.
