Extra Value Attribute
=====================

This Condition, located on the Extra Values category tab in Search Builder,
allows you to find people who have a particular **Extra Value attribute**
that you select from a drop down list.

Attributes are the individual named items that make up certain Extra Values.
This Condition lets you search on those attribute values directly.

How to Use It
-------------

Select one or more attributes from the `Codes` list, then choose a
`Comparison`:

- `Equal` or `One Of` — find everyone who has any of the selected attributes.
- `Not Equal` or `Not One Of` — exclude everyone who has any of the selected
  attributes.

.. admonition:: Example

    Suppose your church uses an Extra Value called `Spiritual Gifts` that has
    attributes such as `Teaching`, `Hospitality`, and `Leadership`. To build a
    list of everyone marked with either `Teaching` or `Leadership`, select both
    of those attributes from the `Codes` list and leave the `Comparison` on
    `One Of`. To instead find everyone who does *not* have those attributes,
    change the `Comparison` to `Not One Of`.

.. note::
    Extra Values are different for every church, so make sure you are familiar
    with the ones in your database. They can be reviewed by your church's
    TouchPoint Admin.
