Groups Export

The Groups Export was designed especially for organizations that have on-line registrations in which a person can make selections with quantities or must complete a form. It also works nicely if you are placing org members in groups after the registration. The export creates a column for each selection/sub-group with a number of items indicated. For normal sub-groups, a 1 will display in the column if the person is in that sub-group.

Generate the Groups Export

Step 1
Go to the specific Organization
Step 2
Select Blue Toolbar > Cloud > Org Members Export > Groups Export.

Use Case 1 - Menu Options

You might set up an organization for people to purchase meal tickets online for Wednesday night Fellowship Supper. You would have several options, and a person could indicate how many of each type they wish to purchase.

Example: Child’s Plate ($3.75), Deli Meal ($6.00), Chef’s Salad ($6.00), etc.

The Groups Export is a spreadsheet indicating how many of each option the person is purchasing. Each meal type is a separate column, with the number purchased showing beside each person’s name.

This is very specific in its use and is not intended for small group management.

Use Case 2 - Trips or Camps

This export can also be helpful for online registrations in which you are placing members in multiple groups, and you want to be able to sort by a specific group and get sub-totals in Excel. Group Member Management gives you those totals, just in another format.
