Recent First Time Giver¶

This Condition, located on the Contributions category tab in Search Builder, allows you to find people who made their first contribution in the number of days you enter. The Comparison Values are either True or False.

Enter the number of Days, an optional Fund ID, and the Tax Status. The Tax Status option refers to the tax status of the fund, not of the individual gifts.

If you enter a Fund ID, the results can include people who gave to other funds earlier but gave to that fund for the first time in this period.

Note

You must have the Finance role to get results from this Condition. Without it, the search returns 0 people and does not show an error.

Use Case

To send a welcome note to new givers, enter 7 for the Days, select True, and run the search weekly. Combine it with Recent Join Church to find new members who have also started giving.
