First Recurring Gift¶

This Condition, located on the Contributions category tab in Search Builder, allows you to find people who started a recurring gift (a scheduled, repeating contribution) within a date range you specify.

How to Use It¶

Enter a Start Date and End Date for the range during which the recurring giving began. In the Fund Id (or null for all) field, enter a Fund Id to look at a single fund, or leave it blank to include all funds.

Set the value to True to find those whose first recurring gift falls within the date range, or False to find those whose first recurring gift does not.

Use the Tax / Non-Tax selector to choose whether to count only tax-deductible funds, only non-tax-deductible funds, or all funds (the default).

Use Case

You want to thank everyone who set up their first recurring gift during a recent giving campaign. Enter the campaign’s date range, leave the fund blank, and set the value to True.

Important

You must have the Finance role to get results from any Condition on the Contributions tab that relates to actual contributions. Without the Finance role, this Condition returns no results.
