Special Registration URLs¶
You can add a special code to the end of the normal registration URL to change what the registrant sees first.
Present Log In Page First¶
By default, registrants who are not logged in see the page where they enter
their information to find their record. To show the log in page first, add
?login=true to the registration URL. Registrants can still register without
logging in by clicking Register without account. Use this to encourage people
to log in without requiring it.

Copy the registration link from Try Registration on the Involvement’s Gear menu and paste it into a text editor.
- Step 2
Add
?login=trueto the end of the URL, just after the Involvement ID.Sample:

Copy the new URL and use it on your website.
Always test your links in a browser where you are not logged in to TouchPoint before you make them live.
The registrant then logs in with their username and password to start the registration.
Note
You can also email a RegisterLink, which works as though the person is logged in.
Tip
To require the registrant to log in, check Disallow Anonymous on the Registration > Registration tab.

Show the Family List First¶
When a person who is already logged in to TouchPoint opens a registration, they
go directly to the questions for their own registration. To show their family
list first so they can select who to register, add ?showfamily=true to the
registration URL. The list shows only if the person has family members or
related families.

The family list also shows when a person logs in on the registration page, such
as with ?login=true. A person who clicks an emailed RegisterLink goes
directly to the questions for their own registration. To show the family list
from an emailed link, use RegisterLink2.
Note
If Allow Only One is checked on the Registration > Registration tab, the registrant does not get an option to register someone else.
